Court Upholds Masimo’s $467 Million Verdict

A federal judge in Delaware recently upheld a nearly $500 million jury verdict award to medical device firm Masimo Corp., which claimed that Philips Electronics North American Corp., and Philips Medizin System Boblingen, both subsidiaries of Royal Philips, infringed on Masimo Corp. patents. The patents are for non-invasive technology that monitors oxygen in patients’ blood. The plaintiff’s attorneys, Knobbe Martens, teamed up with DEG trial presentation services.
